The Best Hearing
Aid For You.

There is no universal “best” model of hearing aid, so you’ll always work with us to find the type of hearing aid best suited for you.

Types of Hearing Aids

Hearing aids are divided into five categories.

RIC & BTE

The device sits behind the ear, and sound is delivered to the ear canal through a tube or custom earmold. They are suitable for a wide range of hearing losses, often has a larger battery, so longer battery life.

They are easier to handle and maintain and have advanced features like directional microphones, and telecoil
can be included.

ITE Aids

These are custom-made to fit directly in the outer ear. The entire device sits in the ear, covering the concha (the bowl-shaped part of the outer ear).

They are easier to handle and offer more features.

ITC Aids

These fit partially in the ear canal and are smaller than ITE models.

They are custom-made for comfort.

CIC Aids

These are the smallest custom-made hearing aids that fit entirely within the ear canal which makes it very discreet. A smaller size means fewer features and shorter battery life. Also, they can be more difficult to handle, especially for those with dexterity issues.

Things To Consider

Connectivity

Many modern hearing aids have Bluetooth technology to stream audio from phones, TVs, or other devices.

Rechargeable Batteries

Rechargeable hearing aids have become increasingly popular, offering convenience and eco-friendliness.

Other hearing products

Amplified/bluetooth phones

An amplified phone is a telephone designed specifically for individuals with hearing loss or difficulty hearing clearly on a regular phone. These phones enhance the volume of the speaker’s voice, often include visual or tactile alerts, and have other features to make communication easier for people with hearing impairments.

Remote microphones

It’s a small, portable device designed to help people with hearing loss hear more clearly in challenging listening environments. It works by picking up sound from a speaker or a specific sound source and transmitting it directly to the user’s hearing aids.

Hearing protections

Hearing protection is a crucial element in preventing noise-induced hearing loss, especially in noisy environments or during activities involving loud sounds. The best choice depends on the level of noise exposure, comfort preferences, and any specific communication or activity needs.

TV listening solutions

A TV listening system is a technology designed to help people with hearing loss enjoy television audio more clearly. These systems allow users to hear the TV audio directly through their hearing aids, headphones, or speakers.

Swim molds

They are specialized earplugs or custom-fitted earmolds designed to keep water out of the ear canal during activities such as swimming, bathing, or water sports.
